Triumph Triple Challenge back for 2012

Triumph's 675 Daytona race series is back for the 6th year, with a top prize a step up to a bigger championship for the 2013 season.

The Triumph Triple Challenge runs at nine British Superbike Championship events, with two races per meeting starting at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit at Easter; finishing on the Brands GP circuit in mid-October. There will be TV coverage on British Eurosport.

The entry fee is £13,332 (+VAT), which gets you a race-tuned Daytona 675, your entry feeds and some expert guidance. The series is intended as a platform for young British talent. The winner will get a funded ride in the 2013 Junior Superstock series (aged under 26), the Supersport Cup (aged 26-32) or a Daytona 675R (aged over 32).

Triumph UK boss Guy Masters said: "We are again pleased to be supporting the series in 2012. The Triple Challenge is a key part of Triumph's ethos of developing young British talent and provides a key stepping stone for racers aspiring to the next level of competition."

Series organiser Tony Scott said "The series just goes from strength to strength and represents fantastic value for any rider serious about climbing up the competitive ladder towards BSB."
