I can't see the Scottish people backing this.

An independent Scotland will have to use the Euro when they join and hand over their 'independence' to the EU

PS they will also need to fund a wall :tongueout:

Could be an interesting run on Scottish citizenship requests......and the resultant cost to the Scots could be quite dramatic if anyone and everyone entitled did it (subject to what rules they put in place). Anything like Ireland and they would be swamped.....as usual have they actually thought this through?

I'd get one out of spite to the EU.

Listen lads, most right minded Scots hate the wee troll and her Green puppet master Harvie. We are sick of the SNP casual racism directed at our English neighbours which is ampliphied by many of her more rabid supporters. The SNP have a dark history . During WW2 they openly supported Hitler and their leader was arrested and many of them placed on a 'known persons' list. They do not, despite what Sturgeon constantly says, speak for the people of Scotland and I cringe every time that fat balloon stands up to bluster at Westminster. Sturgeon will call Indy 2 knowing that May will say no. Calling it will appease her rabid supporters who have been less than impressed by Sturgeon's inaction in this matter. Once refused Sturgeon will stamp her feet and play the victim of nasty Westminster while secretly relieved because she knows that if it had been granted she would lose again. She knows her days are numbered and dependant on the findings of the inquiry into her role in the Salmond case she will either be removed or have to stand down. Her eyes are on the big picture. Her constant trips abroad to build her profile are aimed at a nice wee UN ambassadors job in the future. God Bless The Union.

Very nicely put. I sometimes work in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Engineers I work with really find her an embarrassment.

Always love going to Scotland, would happily live there, yet the politicians behave despicably and stir up the union constantly. Got family on the west coast and father's side originally from the Borders around Moffat and Kelso.

On the other side I can fully understand why anyone would want to get away from Westminster especially at the moment, but to the go in with Brussels is madness.

People in Scotland either love her or hate her. I personally can't stand the f!$%er, her politics, or the way they have wasted a decade on meaningless new rules and regs as well as differing taxation bands.
Buzzydog is correct in that they have a long history they try to hide. Any party that would abandon the Union in support for an invading army should have been abolished there and then. The fact that the bulk of Scotland voted to remain as part of the Union appears to have had no effect on this poisoned witch who now wants to rewrite the rules so Scotland can remain as part of the EU project. How can you justify striving for independence when you are so desperate to be ruled by Brussels?
Patrick Harvey of the Greens and their use of his one seat to push through dodgy agendas is also an insult to democracy. Others on here already realise this woman is a dictator. The sooner Scotland wakes up and gets rid of her and her whinging pals the better.

A new Scottish currency would tank. It wouldn't have the back up of the BOE and its banks are still in a vulnerable place. This is obviously an attempt to get as many skittles in place for her triumphant Independent Scotland.
