I wonder if you might explain the presence of the flag on the French riot Police water cannon please?

/media/file/135408.aspx

Is there now support from the EU for the French Police?

I've no idea, perhaps it was just a rogue French policeman who put it there?

Or are you saying it's further 'evidence' that the EU want to take over everything and when they finish setting up the EU army, they're setting up an EU police force?

Do you also believe the CIA killed Kennedy and the American military, backed by the state of Israel, were responsible for the 9/11 attacks?

The French government probably applied for an EU grant to purchase them and that was one of the conditions.

What's more that tosser whose London Mayor sold ours for scrap :frown:, he missed a trick there as there's obviously a market for them in France.

Do Europol have powers of arrest etc? I thought they were an intelligence gathering and co-ordinating agency, liaising with law enforcement in whatever country, and they do the arresting?

Strat is correct, they basically just collate and distribute information to the national police forces.

They only have about a thousand staff.

One of the conditions the w.anchor signed up to when he bought then was that he couldn't resell them as water cannon.....:speechless:

"Under conditions of the original sale by the German federal police, the vehicles could only be sold on to a European policing or civil protection organisation, as a guard against them being used by a repressive regime."
