About time the Police took a hard line , f!$% the do-gooders and their human rights s!$% . Taking off their helmet to evade being chased ? That should never have been an issue for the Officers giving chase , glad they are nipping that one in the bud aswell

Help the police or not? seems like there's no shortage of helpers for the nice policeman on this thread and that's the way it should be or we will be f!$%ing doomed as the teenagers make our nice wee towns no go areas after 18:00 and from what I see a good lot are from good homes but the parents attitude is my little s!$%ebag is a nice boy. So get stuck in officers when the little c!$%s go limping home and an arse full of gravel rash maybe mummy and daddy just might want to know what he be up to.

Oh no , looks like some scumsucking compen lawyers have got their grubby mitts in the mix , that may well be common sense being scuppered as the Police won't be able to afford the lawyers to defend their actions . If that happens hopefully one of these lawyers is the first one to have a bottle of acid in the face and an axe over his head , talk about tying the Police' hands :angry:

The bilge that calls itself The Guardian:
The Met said there had been a 36% reduction in thefts involving mopeds since the tactics were adopted.

That's a good enough reason to continue until it's 100%

1) the police knew the law, before they changed their methods, so must be prepared for it 44

2) I don't believe their claims of 40% reduction. Do they expect us to believe their change of tactics had an almost immediate effect ? Sounds more like a scare tactic to dissuade offenders to me, not that that's a bad thing 01

It's fine, until an over-zealous copper kills an innocent biker or pedestrian and they close ranks to cover it up.......how will we all feel then?

Wonder what's happened to the vociferous shouty PC brigade? They have usually crawled out from their nest and made their arbitrary protestations by now. Can you believe they may be too afraid to go against public opinion this time, can’t be true can it?

You don't need the PC brigade , lawyers will scupper this course of action soon enough .

The figures quoted were for a time period from January 2018 -October 2018 , so I don't think this new tactic has just been introduced .
That bloke Nick:

I'm sure there is a concern about other peoples safety , but what is the alternative , let the criminals carry on without any chance of recourse ? I personally think this type of tactic has being a long time in coming , but at least it should be sending the right signals to these criminals now , because it was going to start spreading to every major city in this country before long .

It's much the same as knife crime , this softly softly , letting people off with a warning , approach isn't working . They need to come down hard on anyone who carries a knife for no reason , 5 years instantly in prison if caught . Much as the government said they would do a few years ago . Then people (youngsters mainly) carrying knives to protect themselves against gangs won't feel the need to carry them . f!$% the do-gooders and there anti stop/ search rhetoric , they're fuelling the problem imo :frown:
