I saw the story online but couldn't tell if it was a hoax the press had believed, or not.

Maybe he got it from the same place I got my Nigerian Pilots Licence.

Well the Sun and the Mail have it so it must be right?:speechless:

They are saying he tried to use a fake Irish license to get extra categories on his UK ticket - Trucks I think?
Bailed 'till Dec 13 and going for trial at Crown Court.

yup read all that , thought he had a HGV for donkeys yrs , ironically he showed his licence (must have been UK one) when he had to sit test for a tank last year , rge film showed him handing licence over

seems the charge is that he "converted" a fake irish to UK one

its on a lot of forums etc , but all the links are to sun/mail , perhaps a bloke from lincoln "called guy martin has been charged

I also think the crown court date is very quick

Who gives a f!$%?

He's a Pikey media-whore, who f!$%'s people over (including a mate of ours) in order to feed his colossal ego.

I'm sick of hearing the prick.

I like a lot of the stuff he's done, but he has a permanent 'Crazy Carrie' stare and not much of a sense of humour.

Guy Martin is a British lorry-mechanic better known publicly as a motorcycle racer and a television personality. Martin started racing in 1998, debuting on road circuits at the Isle of Man TT events in 2004, where he gained 17 podium finishes. He has broken his back twice in racing accidents. After struggling to come to terms with the fame brought about by his media work, Martin was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome

Back to Guy Martin. Where can I get one of these fake Irish licences.

I used to work with a Pakistani guy who knew where to get British licences off a market stall in Karachi.

Yeah, but was his Irish licence a legit Irish licence? It would appear that Guy's one is snide (allegedly).

He used his uk motorcycle licence to get an Irish car licence and then transferred that to the uk for his car licence. I do know he did not pass his uk test or an Irish one. He taught me to drive and was a very patient tutor, though absolutely crap driver. Driving my mum to visit us some 50 miles away he was told to go over a roundabout and promptly did. Straight over the grass as well.

is that legal or not?

the claim is that he used a FAKE licence in order to upgrade to an extra vehicle class , if the transfer of licence to UK status , why the hell would he show a fake irish licence? ,
what use would an irish licence br when upgrading , surly the upgrade should have been made in ireland (inc test) ?

when you "transfer" your icence to UK , your old licence is retained and destroyed

the court claims he "was in possession of a fake licence"
