If trump threatens Thailand, they might find a few ageing chickboys with stories to tell about him.

I think it has a lot to do with getting into their markets. Basically, if HD wants to sell there, part of the bike has to be made there. HD in India, I believe, is the same way.

For example GM opened factories in China, to tap their market. Buick in China sells more units than in the US.

Good luck to em, probably be low capacity water cooled twins I would imagine. They'd have to be priced very competitively mind, there's so many to choose from out there.

HD sell inferior quality products anyway so they won't be out of place with all the Chinky s!$%e out there

Speed, yes. Toughness, no. Something to be said for all steel and no aluminium or plastic. Used HD routinly sell here(US) with upwards of 50-80k miles on the touring versions. All mototrcycle companies are stuck with thier reputation from the 70's, a certain British manufacturer comes to mind. Modern HD's are great bikes.

I would totally disagree with that. They're wiring is the best I've ever seen, even beats BMW. But any sign of rain and it just goes through their very thin paintwork.

I've owned two, one carb and one EFI.

I don’t know why HD gets such a bad rap...other then it’s not your cup of tea...and other then the AMF Year’s ,they are a dependable bike that runs for ever ,parts are cheap, and they are easy to work on ....

I can't fault the build quality of the 48 I had, it the 1050 Sprint that preceded it to shame.

1050 had better quality? I found my Sprint 1050 to have some very "chinsey" parts. Luggage comes to mind.
