For me the situation in Syria could escalate very quickly if the West authorises attacks on Syrian targets and Russians are either killed or become casualties. With all of Trumps posturing and his current aggressive Tweets he is an idiot wielding a very large weapon that he appears to want to use at some point to uphold his self importance to the world.
And yet can we honestly say that after toppling Saddam, invading Afghanistan, helping to topple Gadaffi and supporting Syrian rebels the west is in a better place?, the answer to that is no.
We have had all kinds of religious terrorist groups start up, uncontrolled borders allowing for mass immigration from the east and allowing Iran to influence other countries with weapons and soldiers.
The only reason we want in is to stop the Russians from influencing countries in the region, not to help the "people".
The middle east needs hard leaders like Assad to control the divisions with their countries and the middle east in general so leave him the f!$% alone to finish the job and then use politics/aid to influence him. (and Blair is still a war Criminal)
That is all.

It's a civil war, and nothing to do with us.

We should let them get on with it and talk to and do deals with the winner.

Personally, I'd rather deal with an evil f!$%er that was educated in London than with an evil f!$%er who was educated in a cave.

No, it was the Great War that was the war to end all wars...

These are complex weapon systems you can't leave them without proper testing.

I listened to some Guardian correspondent on the Radio today talking about the bombing in Syria.
His point of view is that Syria is now a proxy state of Iran, who bankroll the Assad regime and its shia muslims against the rebel sunni muslims (or the other way around?).
Since Iran has stated, and still does, that one of its main aims is to rid the middle east of the Jewish state the Israelis look upon Syria as an ally of Iran, who are now right on their border with 40,000 Hezbollah fighters and chemical weapons, as its main threat in the area. He said that one possibility for the air strikes was to prevent Israel from taking major action against Syria so the best way was for the west to be seen to be doing it to prevent an escalation between Israel and its neighbours.

The plot thickens.....maybe because the Jews are involved Corbyn is so against any intervention......

Or maybe it's because Corbyn is against intervention that the Jews are kicking off so much against him?

Shame for the innocents, all they want is to go to work and raise their families. As I get older I'm forming the opinion that they have to sort it themselves, if they can't we can't.
