Just had my quote from Carole Nash, which has always been fair each year. Last year £170 this year £303.50. No change in any details (do note that the engine is now 902cc and has been for 14 years) hence the cost.
Quote from Grove and Dean, started at £121.61 confirmed engine change as they always miss it now £99.37!
Who uses G&D any good.

Just heard back from CN and now £185.65! To be honest I am comfortable with that as there are lots of alterations on my bike.

Just need to know about G&D.

Bet yours is for more than just one bike albeit altered.

Tried googling Grove and Dean but not much info on them as to how they are.

Used to be with them but they will not do my bike due to the alterations, engine amongst others.

Found a couple of sites and they review terribly. One site was 1.8 out of 5 the other was not much better.

Try ringing Bemoto. They're bikers insurance run by bikers. Tell them you have seen the 44Teeth you tube channel and it mentioned the excess waiver and they'll cover the excess in the event of an incident.
They asked me when I added the Daytona (no cost admin change) that if I want to increase my limited mileage they will do it and if the underwriter charges a fee they won't pass it on to me!!!

. Triumph Insurance is Highway part of LV and seem to know what a motorbike is unlike the silly people reading of a script at C Nash

To be fair I have had good service (quotes) from CN over the last six years. This is the first time that I have had a silly price for the year ahead.
See what LV and Bemoto come up with tomorrow.

Tried them and was looking good but they dumped me after 30 mins, due to engine size change which I had stated right at the beginning!!

. I had been with C Nash since she started insuring modern bikes and every year renewal would pop through letterbox and a bit of cat and mouse over the phone would get the price down until last year big price rise and wouldn't budge, so much for loyalty.

Spoke to Ryan, from Bemoto, who promised (having spent a lot of time ensuring that it was what I needed over two days and checking with the Underwriter. I was impressed with his efforts) to send the info to me so I could check it out. Two days later no info.:frown:
I will try to contact him tomorrow.

Currently with Bennetts for the first time since around 1986.
I used the RAC breakdown the other week with them and must say the service was excellent.

I'm with Carole Nash which is up for renewal. I sometimes let my SORN'd bikes go out of MOT and CN then void the cover.

So I've just tried Peter James in Oldbury and they came in £81 cheaper, with lower Excess's, no fussin' if the bike is out of MOT. However, two of the bikes are over 20 years old and they ask for a declaration and two photos of each bike to show the condition of each.

So thanks to whoever recommended Peter James on this forum.
