Was wondering on opinions on the new 1050. Saw that snazzy launch and it looked and sounded good. Same as the 765, S and RS. Anyone any ideas on the price and the difference between them. Might treat myself this summer

I was looking at trading my S3 against the New S3 this time last year. I test rode both the 1050 & the 765. Look in my profile, you'll see what bike I plumped for.

I put my 09 Fireblade in for a 2013 675 Street Triple R after riding the old Speed and Street back to back and I bought the 675 with my heart. It was a much better ride than the Speed. I've since swapped it for a Daytona 675 as I was missing that sportsbike crouch. We're all different I suppose, but don't rule out the new street.

Imo the new Speed is just an evolution of the old one . If you like the old Speed and it's 1050 engine then you'll probably like the new one , although I do wonder how much they are veering away from being accommodating to pillions .
As for the 765 , that's a league ahead from the older 675 , much closer to the Speed's performance .

Triumph have got to be developing a 765 Daytona , there is no way they won't bring one out as it's not a huge jump in tooling to build it . I think they might be waiting till the introduction of the 765 engine in moto2 and premier it at the same time

I reckon you're right.
The older Daytona R was almost a match for the litre bikes in all the magazine shoot outs so I reckon a Moto2 inspired toy will be right up there.

That does indeed look lovely Kraut  They are quite a bit lighter than the 1050 as well, right?

The 765 is a blast and addictive. I miss my ST1050 like hell but the smiles for miles with the 765 make up for it.

Fantastic bike, all the power and grunt you'll ever want. I have the little screen on the front cowl. It is surprising what a difference in makes. Naughty boy speeds are easily held for a good distance :evil:

It has everything you need to say goodbye to your licence. :smirk:

Seems to me the new Speed will be an even closer match to the Street than ever

and folk were already debating which to buy 44

Personally I like the Speed's lazy power delivery , especially for the road ,and I would probably choose the Speed over the Street bike , But if I really wanted a proper focused bike for full on riding then the new Street 765 ,I think ,would be the better bike . It was dynoed alongside the Speed on one test and the difference was negligible (as far as BHP goes anyway) , the RS actually making more RWHP than Triumph claim at the crank 30 , go figure !!!

I think your spot on Rob and it will feel a lot more planted on the road, the Street is lively little fecker when you get a wriggle on.
