The overpriced food and drink is where the profit is at. It sure as hell isn't in the ticket sales.

Maybe you watched the 'Loudest Hour' rather than the Darkest.

Perhaps if going to the cinema was not such an unpleasant experience due to the food they sell more people would go and ticket sales would be better. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Yep, same over here.

Best time to go is on a weekday afternoon when you are one of only a few people in there. Of course, most of them are saddos who go to the pictures during the day, but the great thing about sadsacks is that they shut up and watch the film.

Except when some mother with 3 little s!$%s decides to sit behind you - one decided to kick the back of my seat, that was a mistake. When I stood up and explained she had 3 choices there was a look of surprise on her face...
1. Her boy desisted his behaviour.
2. If he continued he would then find himself doing an unassisted 'Superman' across the cinema....or
3. The manager would be removing them all from the cinema.

Wisely, she decided to leave with said little s!$%s in tow.:smirk::thumbup:

For most of our visits to the cinema I'd agree with you but I have to say I've seldom seen a packed auditorium so quiet and engrossed - apart from said cruncher!
