I have voted for the Tories in the last 3 elections but now I am at a loss with their lack of leadership, pennypinching on key areas in social care and their lack of clear policy in protecting our countryside from mass housing estates and rubbish dumping.

The problem is I also cannot stand Corbyn twat and his bimbo Abbott. Who the f!$% is capable of running the country?.

Now we have 2 new aircraft carriers that leak, no planes to go on them and we have to scrap our assault ships and marines to pay for them.

I think I will turn off the TV, stop reading newspapers, lock the front door and tell the world to go Fluk itself.

Broken Britain.

Double edged sword that link. If HMS Bulwark is used to bring illegal immigrants to any of our shore best let them scrap it.

We have got all the planes to go on them. They’re in America carrying out flight training, and our pilots have been doing carrier training simulations on the most advanced simulator in the world, here in Lancashire. The jets are due to come over once the carriers have completed sea trials.

What he said. Plus, all new ships have teething troubles like leaks and stuff that doesn't work properly. That's the whole point of sea trials. Newspapers never let the truth get in the way of a good story, though, so if you believe them, the ships are sinking. So you are right to stop reading newspapers.

I wish you would stop letting facts getting in the way of a good pessimistic story. We don't like to miss an opportunity to run ourselves down.

I refuse to buy newspapers, and have done so for the last 30 years - the ones I'm given light the fire and, in blizzard emergency conditions, suffice as bog roll.:smirk::thumbup:

We have a friend that works at one of the newspaper printing depots, we get bundles of papers that for one reason or another don't get distributed and the missus uses them as bedding for our couple of rabbits. We have great pleasure in choosing an appropriate picture for them to piss on. Diane Abbott, Corbyn etc always get the first choice. :smirk:

With planes that are less than 60% reliable then I reckon there may be a few left on the ground if the balloon went up. We should have bought new F18 Super Hornets onto conventional (leaking) carriers.

The Civil Service long ago ended its tradition of political impartiality; there are plenty of people in Whitehall, from all parties, who are happy to feed doom and gloom to the press. The F35 has had software issues but it is the most complex jet fighter in history. I really doubt the current crop of young pilots training to operate this remarkable aircraft share the idea that it will not be a fearsome weapon in the right hands.
