Hewwo to all,
Now then, today i rode to Warrington and back(from Sheffy) and went via Snake Pass both ways.
On the way out the weather was fine and The Pass was a great ride, apart from some spots being covered with water which was flowing across the road, but the curves bends and straight bits were very enjoyable. As ever, cars saw fit to pass me illegaly,,,why do they need to do that ?,as you can all imagine I could easily have left them miles behind, but it was wet and the bloody road was covered in places.
Coming back it was atrocious, heavy rain and lots of hail, not at all a pleasing ride, but a good test,,,to be honest I was glad to leave the pass behind,if youve never ridden it,get out and do so,,but,,beware the effing "cant wait" car drivers !!!!
Any other such rides around Yorks please ??

The woodhead pass isnt a bad one either ,bit more flowing than the snake . I used to ride it all time when I was dating a girl in Sheffield

Hello PA,,,

Castleton is indeed worth a ride to,and from there you will find a very enjoyable ride out towards Chapel En Le Frith and Manchester.
Woodhead is a good pedal, can be a bit windy up there,,and is awful in crap weather,as is Snake Pass,
Give us a shout neareer the time and i,ll try and map things out a bit better for you.
