Hello Strong person,,,,just intend to ride up on the Weds or Thurs,,stay for one night maybe round Wmere or Hawkeshead,,,and come back around tea time the next day,,B&B is what i,m thinking of,,,i,m more concertned about petrol stations,,general idea is just to see some nice landscapes and get drunk on the night,,,huge brekky then amble about for a few hours and ride back.
Which are the best roads around that area to have a nice glide about on ??

Thanks

i would take a591 from Kendal to windermere then up to keswick (stop over there) then a66 towards workington and down the 595 to greenod and 590 abck to kendal (depends how many miles you want to do really) yoo could take in a few passes along the way Wrynose and Hardknott would be nice. on the 595 just turn off at gosforth and head for eskdale and boot.
Going over the pass will bring you out on the a593 and head for coniston or ambleside.

some interesting roads to go at. should be fairly quite mid week as well

enjoy :thumbup::thumbup:

Which way are you going Billy? A65 past Devils Bridge (Kirby Lonsdale) towards Kendal? Quite a nice road......did it yesterday on the way to Penny Garth Caff in Hawes. Can be busy tho.
