Had a few goes earlier. Managed to start it on the button but it took a while and made a lot of noise. Then rode it to the top of a hill and bumped it. Started in third a couple of times easy enough. Then tried it in 2nd and it wouldn't start, fortunately I realised the ignition was switched off before I got to the bottom of the hill and it started easily. Then rode round a while and tried it on a gentle slope in second and fired straight away, although it was nice and warm at this stage. Ran perfectly once started but I have rebuilt the carbs and replaced coils HT leads etc so it should do. So went out for a curry and a couple of pints confident it will get us home tomorrow night. Good old Triumph.
