If the relays are not originals make sure they are at least the original pin layout.
There are 2 layouts that fit into the same base socket.

There have been a lot of cases of people fitting the wrong type and ending up with a relay coil energised while everything is switched off and draining the battery. Headlight relays were popular for this a while back.

The switched output (87 & 87A on a 5 pin) keeps the same place on both types. Most of the Triumph relays I have dealt with have been "B" layout where the power in (30) is opposite 87. Really you need to check the wires going into the relay base against the numbers moulded in the relay base to be sure that you have the right type fitted.
