Nope, I think it picks up its power from the O/W which looks like it goes to a kill switch (4 on the diagram)and then on to the ignition switch (1 on the diagram). The earth direct to the battery (B/W on diagram) and the switch to earth for firing the coil via the white (W on the diagram). Other two wires are the pickup.

So there must be a separate power supply that someone has installed somewhere because of another fault? It must go to the O/W so meter that with the ignition switch disconnected and trace back to their with the meter.
