Cheers for the post's , i've drained the tank and removed the filter that although dated April 1997 seems to be clear but i'm going to replace that and put it all back together with new o rings.

Does it matter which side of the rail is the inlet / outlet. I think it could be the valves in the flow and return pipe sticking which is actually stopping the fuel flow

I was connecting flow out to the left hand side and return back on the right side . Is this correct
