I had the pistons custom made by JE via a local supplier after I supplied a sample piston, if I recall correctly JE charge a one off 'design' fee to each customer for custom pistons.

If I order some more I don't think I have to pay the fee but you, as a new customer would if that makes sense? Nothing stopping me ordering some more though... 27

I've already e-mailed the supplier asking them to speak to JE about a set of 80mm pistons running in steel liners and confirm pricing. The 955 nikasil liners are about 3.2mm too short for the 1050 water jacket, didn't stop me using a set in my 1050 though...

Will you be using a 955 or 1050 head? The castings are identical but the 955 has stronger springs to allow for the higher revs/wilder cam profiles.
