Thanks Kev being a commercial heating engineer I figured pipe diameter would have more influence than length ,a slight increase in pipe size equals considerably less frictional loss and more potential flow whether its a gas or a fluid .
Not really sure what pipe length has on all this and of course not sure re back pressure and harmonics.
Its a complex subject
