As a running experiment and weight saving exercise I removed the airbox. I fitted three 52mm power cones, relocated the sensor and ran it at the weekend. Getting up to temp, clutch engaged to adjust the fuel trims which was done with three cycles. My IACV has been deleted btw.

Results
1. f!$% of a lot of induction noise
2. Very slight increase in HP at 4/5k rpm

Conclusion
Dinnae bother unless you want to save 2.5 kilos
