Sprint GT Released

Triumph today released full details of their new Sprint GT Model, a derivative of their class leading ST model with a higher focus on touring compared to sports. The most striking visual changes are the removal of the underseat exhaust system giving underseat space and a more relaxed pillion position; and changes in the headlight layout.

Triumph have updated their legendary 1050cc triple first introduced in the 2005 Sprint ST to deliver increased power, torque and usability. The Sprint GT offers excellent real world performance, with development focused on power delivery in the mid-range rather than chasing peak power. Peak torque increased by 5Nm to 108Nm (80 Ft.lb) and delivered 1,200rpm lower in the rev range for effortless acceleration and easier overtaking.

Development of the GT focusses on practicality with new 31 litre panniers, ABS brakes as standard, underseat storage, built in rack with well appointed grab rail, 200 mile fuel range and an optional top box capable of swallowing two full sized helmets and offering a 12 volt power supply to allow ‘on the go’ charging of electrical items such as laptops and mobile phones.
