He's back................

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,176-1817437,00.html

It's bad enough with people like him who are determined to implement this s!$%, but you have to question the motives of those who think it up, then create and develop it........?

if they implemented them purely to record people who are driving without tax/insurance....then I am all in favour.

If, however, they are used to target people who speed........then I for one will be getting a false plate made up...and will get it made with a registration number of my local chief constable's car 0405

Brunstrom believes the camera studs should be deployed only on roads where there is evidence of persistent offending

Yeah, and he argued for speed cameras only on accident black spots - originally. Now he wants them everywhere.

wonder why he's leaving ?

The level these tossers will go to enforcing their view of society never ceases to amaze me, does anyone serierously believe that once we start to implement s!$% like this it would be restricted to "accident black spots" (sic) and catching tax/insurance dodgers.

Link this to fecking GPS tracking and road pricing that they keep bleating about and you may as well hand over your bike keys now cos you WILL break some f!$%ing petty regulation eventaully.

As Bob says it's time to question the ethics of people that develop such inciduous applications of technology.

This is getting out of hand

More effort is being put into stopping speeding (and we are not talking about the stupid 130 in a schhol zone here, just people 10 - 20mph above the limit) than is being done to counter murder, rape, burgulary, terrorism, fraud or just about any other crime.

Why?

'cos twats like Dick Brunstrom get into a position of power and then even bigger twats listen to them.

Will someone please sort out thier f!$%ing priorities13131313

It was in today's or yesteday's Sun or Daily Star (so it must be true...) that Blair wants to overhaul the judicial system such that "innocent until proven guilty" no longer applies.

Instead we'll have "guilty until proven innocent"....

As an example, to combat yobbery, he wants to give police powers to arrest people for shouting in the street, amongst other things.
