This is speculation on my part,no hard facts just a theory,in my opinion,am I safe yet?
OK I believe someone has found ONE rear shock with a problem between the bottom mounting eye & the shock body.In order to find if this an isolated incident, or a wider issue. Would it not make sense to change the shocks on bikes whilst in for hub recall at one dealer only with the minimum of fuss and take them for tests to confirm their condition so that an informed decision can be made reguarding what course of action if any should be taken.Of course this is only one of many possibilities, but can you see the logic? Why change shocks that seem ok?
I think the R3 is the best thing since before sliced bread.
100+miles today still smiling
Les.
