I was born and bred in Blackpool, and lived in the area for the best part of 30 years.
Packed it all in on a whim, and now spend my days doing the same old s!$% in the land of silicon (and I'm not referring the computer chips) and sun....
I'd be up for that! I live near burnley, but spent quite a few years working at the pleasure Beach over there. Some great roads over that way, as there are inbetween.
Where do you suggest?? It'd be great to meet up with a few northern trumpeteers.
Are some of you northern chaps going to make trip to Scropton, so we have a bit more of a national feel, rather than the Sussex Squadren plus a couple of hangers on. Please.
Dominic, Guys court sounds good to me to start with, when is best for you? I usually go to Knott End on a Wednesday eve to meet Big bro & nephew,nephew comes from Lancaster, it is usually packed there so a change would be welcome, and besides it's a nicer ride to Guys! any other Trumpeteers got any ideas, how about you John, perhaps a sunday ride out for a meet up?!
Somewhere in the lake district may be a 50/50 choice for both.

Hi lads! Just down the M6 in Blackburn (was working in B'pool until a couple of months ago) Up for a ride out if I'm not working (joys of retail!!!). Set a meet & I'll try & join ya!
I'm loath to make arrangements as my Job takes me up and down the country at short notice so I can't take the bike to work for an early kick off on most days. However will keep an eye on this thread and try to turn up if something is going on.
"OK" lets get things rolling, I reckon a ride out to Owd Nells at Guys court on wednesday 11th is in order, I will be there around 7.15 ish, if its not pissing down, a bit damp I can live with! if anyone wants to join me I'm the one sat with the green ST!
I'll definitely give it a shot. If the weather's OK, I'll take the bike to work and come straight from there (I choose to work in Sheffield for some stupid reason!!). I'll be the one sat on a yellow T595.

OK, hot news just in, well to me anyway, they are having a big crackdown on bikes this weekend with the DVLA, all around Lancashire & Yorkshire. mainly on the borders, this has been confirmed by a reliable source who tells me that whenever there is a big bike meeting on they always go out in force, so watch out if you are playing out this weekend, especialy you John if you are going to Croft.

Yeh a different venue is fine by me lets look out for suggestions, I have just found out that I have a meeting on Wednesday eve & Friday, but another night is ok for me! I don't mind going a bit further afield to meet some other Trumpeteers.

I think this Wednesday sounds like a fine idea!! As well as being off work, the BBC weather site shows big, yellow suns all week!! (Which makes me happy - like my big, yellow Daytona!!!)

I'll mostly be meeting you guys at Guys...(geddit....jeez)...for a drink. Quite a few good places to do the ride-ins to the Rossendale Bike show. I feel sorry for all them Southerners that ain't gonna make it. Biggest single day, open-air show in Europe now...or so they say.
Rivington Barn is popular cos it's a well known meet on a Sunday anyway...but we can discuss on Wednesday night. (Assuming Dom's dyslexia clears up and he can find his way there of course!!)
thanks for the invite, but unfortunately I am without wheels at the moment. This is due to little girls who run out of side streets straight infront of you....
Will keep my eye on this Thread, also the TT is no longer living so the wheels at the moment(when I get them back) are a Triumph(of course) Bonneville America.......
