----KK----: Nokia are fighting a tough battle against Apple and Android. They should have embraced Android IMHO.....however time will tell.
They are up the Creek even more now with Microsoft announcing today that the new windows 8 for phones is being released in autumn and WILL NOT BE COMPATABLE with any hardware currently out at the moment, so the new lumia that nokia not long released cannot have an os upgrade and with the new os soon to be released who is going to buy a phone that won't be supported that much longer not to mention the only platform nokia now offer is Microsoft
Such is the marketplace for such objects - style over substance.... Obviously even though it contains a superb camera it doesn't come with enuff tweets innit
If your going to need a camera with a resolution of 40 megapixal then your probably going to use a proper propriety camera, rather than a phone for taking snaps for FaceBook of your mate chucking up outside the local pub. Nokia really are quite dumb if they think that having the highest megapix camera in a phone is all customers want.
The megapixel race is a bit of a smokescreen. True, the more pixels the better the resolution ... but only to a point. Each pixel comes with a tiny amount of 'noise', eventually the noise over rides any advantage gained by the increased resolution. Some say 16meg is as good as it gets, and 5 meg is more than enough for most applications.
----KK----: All your monthly data allowance used up just sending 1 photo.
Lol NO the OS /MMS system tells you your picture is too big and good quality and needs to be shrunk to s!$% quality, would you like me to turn it into big block pixels so you can send it to your friends and play the guess what this is a pic of game.
Funny you should say that. In the DSLR and advanced compact range, some manufacturers have stopped the mega-pixels war and are concentrating on better sensors that give better results in all light conditions and truer colour reproduction
