rattycrawldaddy: my 68th year of not being a father....whewwwww!!!
There's no point denying it Ratty. We all know of your intense but brief affair with a fair English rose that spawned a son to continue the Ratty bloodline but how he was cruelly taken from you and whisked away to a far off land...but here he is...you can be reunited at last
1st year being a father and even though me and my old boy don't see eye to eye a lot of the time i still love him ..... whether or not he still loves me after he finds out i f!$%ed his car on fathers day is another matter...... i fear the day when he is no longer there to wind me up and piss me off.... and love me regardless of the little twat i am.
feel for you old fart and all i can say is remember him and the time you shared as father and son. Time is a healer and although the scar will always be there you will always be able to treasure the time you both spent together, good or bad....... he shaped you and probably helped make you the man you are and for that you should be glad. (wasn't it your old man that gave gainful employment to my uncle tony?).
16 years without mine, but saw some of the kids and all the grand kids got 3 big boxes of wine gums , but best pressie was my eldest binging my mum up to see me

Chin up fella, hes still around looking out for you !!!!
You need a chat ill be around on here drop me a PM !!
Ta nsg ... mum's still with us but she had a mild heart attack earlier this year, so while she was recovering nicely York Hospital stepped in again and did some sort of 'procedure' on her ... and she had a stroke while they did that.
When I went to visit me poor dad in there before he died he was in a right state ... they ushered us out of the ward and got him presentable before letting us back in.
I had an almighty bust-up with them after a road smash, the consultant bloke threw my x-rays on the floor, his exact words : "I can't do anything with that ... you did it on a motorbike"
I wouldn't let York Hospital carve my Sunday roast
I worrie about mine. he's 84 (just and took him to the gold coast for his birthday) and we want to move back to the UK but he dosent have any one else to look after him when he gets old (as in needing help) and he grew up in an orphnage so i dont want him to be allone. but he won't move over with us.
so we're going to move back but might have to then move back to oz again in a few years time.
Not meaning to rub my healthy dad in your face old fart.

My dad went 21 years ago on the 13th of this month.
Both Mum & Dad are still with us I'm pleased to say. They're off to France in the morning after staying in Jurys Plymouth with a £50 tab behind the bar tonight. Christmas pressie from me. Love 'em both to bits
