Now, poofball is not my thing as I despise the overpaid prima donnas and the charmed lives they lead but wifey wanted to watch it. What really got by back up was Gerrard saying that they'd gone out hoping for a draw so were happy FFS It's a small but telling statement.....they should go out to fcuking well win. No wonder they're so fcuking useless with an attitude like that

England did very well, on paper France should have spanked our arses, but the lads did good. I watched all the game, before and afterwards, and at no point did I hear Gerrard or anyone else say they went out for a draw. thats certainly not how they played. He did say that he'd have taken a draw if it was offered beforehand - But thats not the same thing.

He did....no doubt about it: I have it on Sky+ in the post match interview.

right that does it I'll be reviewing the footage later for a verbatim review and assessment of what was said You can expect an objective, impartial and truthful response to the video evidence which will naturally prove me right and uphold my point of view

TBF, 10 mins before the end BOTH teams looked like they'd settle for a draw. Twas a good game, England certainly could have nicked it, but a Draw was a fair result. The refereeing certainly seemed to favour France though, some of thier deliberate fouls to disrupt England on the break were very cynical, and would have earned a few yellow cards in the premiership. I guess Italian referees see things differently

Wayne Kerr is an odd name for an Italian ref It was nice of the England fans to chant his name

I didn't hear that, but it doesn't surprise me

It was quite clear, just after Gerrard was bodychecked outside the box

Even the ignorant German commentator on ZDF questioned some of the refererring desicions. Mind I would question the desicion of ZDF to put him on....ffs he was a tosser of the highest order.

Joleon Lescott scored a cracker for England last night. His parents Will Smith and Lieutenant Worf are said to be overjoyed.

Watching the news now and if one of the sets of fans had been English you'd be hearing from UEFA how they were going to be thrown out of the competition
Riggsy Coventry, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 35,194 Daytona 955i (02) 12 Jun 2012 22:20
Yeah, I've got that on too. It was bound to kick off a some point

yet not a peep about it from UEFA. It seems to have been dismissed as just them 'letting of a bit of steam'

Graet performance from England, some of those proved they WANT to wear the shirt,,,we may not win the thing, but at least they have made a good effort.Rooney will make a difference when he returns,Ox is going to be a top player. If that crowd trouble had been from our fans,we,d be out of the tournament now,,,,and theres still time for that to happen, and without doubt it will be all our hooligan fans fault regardless of what actualy happens,,UEFA hates us as does the Eure media,,,i,ll even go so far as to state that our Police would have shut that trouble down far more efficiently if they allowed it to happen at all !!
