It's a future trip. :thumbup: With a possible extension to the alps.

I think the "stay for a few days" idea has sunk in. I don't mind taking 2 days to get somewhere, but it's far nicer to have a base to explore from.

I still need to find an hotel for our return jaunt though. Which I have just found. Very basic hotel/motel, but there are several restaurants nearby less than a mile walk. I shall book it shortly for 2 nights.

Last hotel booked.
It's "HOTEL CERISE" in Noyelles Godault. Nothing fancy, €41 a night, but I've given up trying to find a central hotel. Secure parking, close to 3 restaurants, so it should be OK.
Ieper cancelled.
I'll carry on looking nearer the date though.

Basic hotel, but the reviews are OK and, as I said, there are 3 nearby restaurants, although bars such as those we normally do are scarce.............................non existent really.

Sat 18th May to Sat 25th. Gives everyone the Sunday to recover from travelling then.

Hello. Since Nige successfully asked for my inclusion it would be rude of me not to register to say thank you. Thank you javascript:emoticon(':smile:');

I do have a strumpet and it is a proper one javascript:emoticon(':smirk:'); (Nige has told me my Beemer choice will attract derision so I choose to get in early javascript:emoticon(':grin:'); ).

Looking forward to meeting yous javascript:emoticon(':thumbup:');

Oh if you plan to use Brittanny ferries for the Oradour trip pm me for a discount code.
