I've booked the friday and Monday off, but doubt I'll be coming, unless the weather improves hugely, and teh long range Met Office forecast is saying no sign of any significant improvement before the end of June at least. Can't really be arsed with the camping thing anyway tbh, and Striple has f!$% all luggage carrying capacity.

Two very big provisos there! Can't really be arsed with the camping thing anyway tbh, and Striple has f!$% all luggage carrying capacity.
That'll be a 'no' then? Are you as K suggests, of Scottish descent?

a simple search of the Scroppers Forum for the last 7-10 years - using the keywords: Ade, shower, petrol pump, B&B, prob wont, "Geepster - can I ride your bike Mister? .." will reveal the facts that:- - It NEVER rains in Scropton. - Ade always attends.

He didn't last year (for the first time) and won't be this year, unless the weather improves drastically. I just can't be arsed with the whole camping thing anyway, too much hassle and I want a shower on a morning, plus there's now way to carry the camping gear on the StripleR anyway, And I didn't ask to ride G's bike, he offered, then practically insisted that I took it out, lol.
Red Monkey Swinging in a tyre, United Kingdom Premier Member Daytona 955i (99-01) 10 Jun 2012 14:47
I agree with Ade. Camping is an abhorrent activity only done out of absolute necessity and never if it's raining. It's one thing getting pissed when the sun is out and you're having a BBQ but fcuk sitting in a dreary pub all day and all night

Yup, it's been both sides of the border over the centuries, but currently England's most northerly town. Nice little place, or was last time I was there anyway, but that was about 25 years ago.
