Does anyone happen to know more about the Keihin ECU O2 adaption range values?
As I read the TuneECU screen, it seems to me that O2 based trim is allowed to pull up to 26% fuel? Seems a bit excessive to me - or am I missing something here?
Does the official Triumph tool allow manual setting of these range caps?
I think the value on the screen is arbitrary Martin, just like the value in the manual setting. It only relates to that bike and is a % value of an unknown factor buried deep within the ECU. for instance it could be 26% of 5% which is not very much at all (1.3%)...
No mate, not seen that. But i reckon that any input will only apply to the fixed parameters in the ECU. For instance you can change the steps on the IACV in tuneecu (and the Triumph tool) but as soon as you cycle the ignition the ECU takes over and changes back to what it thinks they should be (Sagem) I have never tried it on a Keihin but if you could do it manually then why do the TB's have to be balanced to fix the IACV steps for idle in the Keihin? The only reason I can think of is that there are fixed parameters in the ECU that are used for reset purposes to give a standard starting point for the ECU to work from. Any adaptation is set from these points and thats what the ECU learns.
