Before I bought my 1050 SP3, the only riding I used to do was on Track Days. At the end of last year I sold my race/track bike with the intention of buying something a little more user friendly for the roads and the occasional TD. I bought the SP3 as I had read that it would be the perfect for both.
This year iv been asked by one of the TD companys if I would like to do a little instructing. So the question is, has anyone used an SP3 as a track day tool ? if so what were your thoughts ?

Good stuff, had my suspension sorted just after I picked the bike up. I'll probably have to stiffen up all round with a few turns.
Go for it - less focussed that some track bikes I have had (Ex MRO GSXR100 being thre "most focussed) but a giggle despite its apparent lack of track ability - its a great bike - mine is actually an 06 140+bhp 955 Daytona engine. The front suspension was the limiting factor whilst chasing a track bike in the fast group - when I should have just backed off a bit and chilled out. sometime you just never lose that racer mentality lol
but good news was - it crashes well - dont let that put you off - go for it !

I was thinking the front suspension would be a little sloppy. Maybe a fork kit would sort it out. Love the crash pics. Looks like Rockingham to me. Funny little track that. If your not crashing, your not trying hard enough
I reckon the SP3 will surprise a few people. If only they did a fibreglass body kit for it and front number board. I'd snap it up
