Place a load of tissue paper or an old dish cloth under the carbs, now comes the tricky bit as you have to do it by feel, turn off the fuel at the tap, then using an allen key (can't remember what size) fiddle about on your knees till the drain bolts are fully open and the fuel is flowing, when each float bowl is empty take out the cloth and wring it out or replace with fresh tissue paper.... tip do them one at a time as it's a lot of fuel going all over the place... when all are empty grovel about on your knees some more and tighten them up then turn fuel tap to "Prime" to refill the bowls.... then turn tap to on then try a start-up s'how I did em last year took about 20 minutes

If Mikunis they are a pain I used some curved edging for plastering to divert the fuel into a bottle, Keihin are much easier to control !!! Link here http://www.mottleybiker.com/page16.htm Cheers Mot

I did similar to this one when I had mine - I used to take a plastic 4-pint milk bottle, and cut one of the curved edges (lengthways) off - it gives you a funnel just long enough to drain the centre carb in situ. Benny
