Stop by the Holeshot Cafe if you like - me and 6isBest are meeting for a cuppa at 10.30. I then have to go home and get in to my party best for my sisters 40th anniversary party.
What sort of meet up time for a ride and approx time evening meal as it could be a long day. If the curry could be not further than about 50 miles from the M25 it would be appreciated. This is all assuming it isn't pissing down like it has been for the last few weeks.
How about 14:00 (sorry Rich - but let's bag you for supper rather than brekkie)
A ride to wherever we want - head back towards Chelmsford (or the back roads) to cater for the close bit and then myself and FB will ride off into the sunset otherwise known as Ipswich

Forecast is s!$%e Dave - seriously
Ratboy1050:
Right so far:
an early morning start to meet Obee
A late finish to get a curry in
Somewhere in Essex
And dry weather or it'll be a wash out
Easy this.

I'll say this ONCE and ONCE only.....10.30 at the Holeshot Cafe, 200yds up from the southbound A12 before the Brightwell roundabout. Better still take the exit to Waldringfield/Newbourne take the first turn left and park next to the bus. Tea and bacon butties await.
For KK that is a long ride, prior to doing anything else - plus this did start off as a curry evening
I am sure, like you, people are weather watching - I would be happy meeting there at some point, however, this was an thread about as many people meeting together as possible.
Not even sure who (now), is or is not up for any ride out

True John - trouble is finding a halfway point each time is not going to work for everyone. My post was intended tongue in cheek but if anyone does get this far up the A12 then great. My morning is complicated so as long I get to meet 6isBest anyone else that rumbles up will be a bonus.
I was planning on an afternoon / evening affair - to allow me to help with children in the morning.
However, come home this eve and Helen is suffering flu-like symptoms and I have to renew my passport for work. (Knew I needed the passport, hadn't realised the 'old' one had expired ), so that has to happen tomorrow am.
Will see if KK is free and will stick ring 'round to see who else will play in the afternoon
So did all you big girls blouses prove your man credentials today?
Me and 6isBest did and got wet in the bargin. Consolation prize was a hot cuppa and bacon butty. The Conti Road Attacks proved very good and confidence inspiring in the wet.
Bluelabel aka ~Aitch~: Had a couple of beers in the Bader last night..... no bugger showed up tho....
I was out all day H but didn't realise you were there in the evening - got home around 5pm, lit the woodburner, had a cuppa and hibernated for the evening.
I was sorting out the converting of mapping from Google Maps routes into my Garmin, which is a fecking nightmare to get to work properly. It isn't as straight foreword as they try to tell you, the new Garmin Basecamp software has to be the biggest pile of s!$%e I've ever used, it brings numerous errors into the routes (like randomly changing destination points ), anyway it's sussed now using Mapsource and a rather neat converter from KML (Google) to GPX (Garmin) format which can be loaded on to the satnav.
