Christ I didn't think anyone went in there anymore 30 not been there for years, used to be THE pub to eat in but then went down hill, perhaps I'll give it another look 49

TBH the sis-in-law said the grub was a bit below par, but my MiL said it weren't bad, so we popped in... the Adnams was lush.... not had it fer a while so it went down a storm...:thumbup:

Last time we popped in it appeared all tarted up and trendy. Didn't eat but the food was supposed to be good.

Best food pub round here is the Levington Ship. The Shannon is very good as well.:thumbup:

For a special occasion the Salthouse Hotel, Ipswich has a fantastic restaurant.:thumbup:

Also, if the pub produces good grub you can be almost certain the bar cares about the quality and condition of their ales.:thumbup:

Fox is a good standard(best sit down fish 'n chips I think I've ever had) but even though the Maybush are in the same group, I've been disappointed in the past.

will bear those in mind for when we're up that way again... probably next week....:blush::tongueout: I see more of me in-laws now they are 65 miles away than I did when they were 10 miles away in Loughton:tongueout:
