Whats the best battery to stick in my '97 T595? I've just got it back after lashing out the best part of £900 getting the spag clutch sorted after it let go. Apparently the battery is knackered after standing around for a year so I need a new one. Can anyone recommend a heavy duty one? I'm a bit paranoid about the starter at the moment but don't want to do the gel/conversion I've read about as I'm not convinced I won't sell it soon to try and get back some of the cash I've spent! thanks

+1 Motobatt 20% more CCA than standard battery (CCA is what you need to crank her over) AMG batter ready out of the box and 4x terminals and as little as £40

make sure the battery is commissioned properley as most early faliures of batteries is due to them not getting the correct treatment at the start of their life.

A bit late but something worth considering. A electrical cable upgrade - made such a difference to my T595 - turns over quicker than it ever has and I have had it since 1998. Trying to save my sprag. Available on eBay via link below http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150446884574?s... Website is Motoelectric.com

Did they at least give you a reach around when theyF%$@ed you. Damm you could have replaced the entire engine for that amount

For that 900 pounds, I hope they took all the sand out of the vaseline first...
