After my little lad needing, several transfusions last year , Nurses all said the best thing you / your family can do is give blood.

I hate needles, so couldnt watch that bit .. Should have done it years ago really, sat in waiting room chatting to an old boy who was on his 86 th donation

There's a coincidence. I gave donation No 74 today and apparently for No 75 I get another badge, another certificate, a different colour card (its gold at the moment) and a nice wall plate.
I would really like to give blood but I am terrified of needles.... and im not talking about just a bit squeamish... Last time I HAD to have a blood test, people had to hold me down
good on you al think ive done it 3 or 4 times now,next one booked in april.the worse bit for me is getting that plaster off when its stuck to hairs ive always meant to do it for years but like you it was after my step daughter had loads that finally got me doing it.wasnt impressed last time though as it was a bank holiday over christmas so the volunteer who serves the tea wasnt there and i had to get my own
