People New guy here who has just picked up a 1999 Trophy 900 to do some touring on this year. http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/af120... I would like to get it serviced / checked over but other than Suffolk Triumph are there any other recommended people around Ipswich for Triumph servicing. Cheers Steve

Hi Steve and welcome, not really sure on the servicing front I use Orwells myself, and you are right to avoid Suffolk Triumph

Hello Stephen, go and see Tim who has recently set up up his own motorcycle workshop in the cul-de-sac off Stoke Hall Road. He's Triumph factory trained, ex Lings and Colchester Kawasaki(I think). He's serviced/worked on my daytona when he was at Lings. He'll be considerably cheaper than the main dealers. If you decide to go and see him, tell him Rich from next door suggested a visit.

Was that the same Tim who was sacked from Lings?

Did this get confirmed one way or another as my speedy is due its 48k and much as I'd like to say I'll do it myself I'm so screwed for time atm and really don't fancy doing the shims without at least seeing it done first.

Vlad, I spoke to Orwells yesterday and they regularly service several Triumphs. They have no problems adjusting the valves and have all the kit and knowledge required.
