New Inn in Cove? Few nice little pubs on the way to Fleet that do decent grub. Monkey Puzzle was good if you can avoid the family time..

Me too. Actually Owlsmoor, but when it were 'all fields round here' and Rackstraws Farm was er...a farm.

Also lived on the Frimley road in Camberley. But, then again, as far as I can make out everyone has lived in or very near to Camberley at some point in their lives...

If you are entertaining and want to impress, then the The Aviator, I took my long suffering wife there on Valentines night, fabulous food, but not cheap at £40-£80pp with wine.

Gastro pub, The Crab and Anchor in neighbouring Cove, fabulous food, but you'll need to book for lunch or dinner.

I lived in Camberley, 92/93.

[P.S. Hi Spudtrap, back from beyond (again), good to see you're still alive, I'm not long for these shores (yet again)]

For C Spanner, sadly I can't thiink of anywhere decent to eat in or around F'boro. There was a place by some water in Mytchett I have vague memories of, but otherwise it's all s!$%.

Nah mate, Bob Potter's is the Lakeside in Frimley, I know that place. This was a quite ordinary boozer, it's bugging me now that I can't remember the name, I'm in the area next weekend so will take a look. (Edit: I've just embraced technology and Google Maps suggests it's 'The Quays' in Mytchett, twas quite good back in the day)

Bit of a bummer getting all those afflictions and illnesses in a short space of time, best wishes with the recovery

Oh, forgot to mention, Her Brittanic Majesty has decided to send me to the other side of the world. Probably to prevent that Kate Middleton bird from succumbing to my good looks and charm, too many broken marriages in that family.

So, the family and I will be moving to sunny Brunei at the end of March, not looking forward to the 17 hour flight with a 6 year old and a 3 year old, but life's an adventure so might as well just get on with it...
