I don't normally stick emailed things on here, but this one made me chuckle as it is so true and conveys the real meaning of the Christmas celebration.
His Birthday (historically) is the 25th December, so that is when Christmas begins, not 4 weeks beforehand and then goes on for 12 nights as this was how long it took the 3 wise men to find the Messiah. You don't celebrate YOUR birthday for 4 weeks beforehand.
So I would like to say to each and everyone of you Have a Very Merry CHRISTMAS and may GOD BLESS each and every one of you!!!

...er the date of the birth is under debate! The christian church took a valid pagen holiday and adulterated for their own use - that is the 21st December the shortest day. Bearing in mind supposadly new born lambs were around at his birth and in that part of the world there are no new born lambs around then! I have my doubts that that date was his birthdate....
As well as the date being hijacked from the pagans, so was the tree. Trees were brought inside to provide somewhere warm for the fairies to live (at a time when fairies were feared rather than cute). Holly and Ivy likewise.
What RM said And that top one definately looks like an American `holiday tree` The use of decorations varies widely according to tradition. In Sweden for example they go up at first advent (27/11 this year) which is nice. Brightens up the dark and gloomy winter evenings.
