Got a pair of Sidi Blackrains which I love, but soles are starting to get a bit thin although uppers have loads of life left in them. Is it possible to get them resoled (& reheeled) and for them still to be waterproof afterwards?

I have heard that it is possible through the uk importers FERIDAX. Have no first hand experience of it though I have the same problem with Sidi B2 boots
You could call Andy at NRP carbs, he does all kinds of clothing repairs/boots etc, dad was /is a polish cobbler, used to re sole my Doc's, re stitch leather jackets ( christ he'd make leather jackets, from scratch!!!)
Not spoken to him for a bit, but, he's a whizz with carbs/cloths...
WARNING:
he has a reputation for being somewhat 'slow'.........never been a problem for me, as his work, whilst pricey, has always been 'above and beyond' even for a 90,000 a year bike courier..........................
tell him Frank sent you......he'll charge you double:tongue out:
TBh I always buy Trials boots for this reason. wear waterproof socks in em and jobs a good un. Re soleable (is that a word?) more flexible than MX boots and tough.

OldNick: Took them to the local cobblers who seem to have done a pretty good job - will report back when I've ridden them in the rain....
did the same with my daytona boots
about £30
£33 for mine and working just fine. Soles are thicker than the originals which I thought I might find a bit clumpy, but haven't noticed any difference on the bike and they're comfy to walk in and prob warmer too..
