I'm thinking of having non black kit for the first time (Apart from my red waterproof jacket). For me, a lot depends on what is available in mahoosive size.

Fret T12: Or whatever colour is cheapest at the time, such as a blue jacket and pink helmet.
No matter how cheap it was, there was no excuse for that helmet!

It's lovely. £150.00 for a normal one, or £50.00 in a sale
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 19 Apr 2012 17:54
Hmmm, jury is out on that Andy Not long to go until "the" tour now
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 19 Apr 2012 18:01
I want the new Nolan X-Lite X-551. It has EVERYTHING I need from a lid. Inner visor. Peak MX Style White Price seems OK as well.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 19 Apr 2012 18:08
£270, seems OK. Don't know much about Nolan lids TBH. Those sisters have done well to branch out into an alternative industry, fair play to them
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 19 Apr 2012 18:11
They have I have always preferred MX lids and after wearing a lid with an internal visor it's hard not to choose another. My HJC one has a dark visor, but it's a pain to change it.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 19 Apr 2012 18:14
I'm undecided about them TBH. I like the style but they look bloody noisy.
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 19 Apr 2012 18:22
Not really. No noisier with earplugs TBH. But yes, they can be noisier.
Both my HJC lids are about the same though.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 19 Apr 2012 18:43
I have 3 lids ATM, that's enough
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 19 Apr 2012 19:29
So do I The Caberg is due retirement though.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 20 Apr 2012 08:02
My X Spirit has been retired. I'd like a Schuberth flip front but they're out of my league financially at the moment

Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 20 Apr 2012 15:59
Hmmm. Missus has to work as well and the cattery lady won't be around until Saturday either.
And I have a special gig the friday night as it's our drummer's 60th Birthday. That money will pay for the first Day's fuel as well

Question is : buy now or wait
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 20 Apr 2012 20:04
Couple of hundred for immediate use. Use the card over there as you get a better rate and the rate on the day too. Get out cash if required.
Rob NMTB Redditch, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 43,511 Sprint ST (05->) 20 Apr 2012 21:22
At these rates, think I'll take more cash than that. Will cover the hotels that don't take cards aswell

Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 21 Apr 2012 21:27

An update for you boys and girls. I was in Colditz today (passing through on the way to take my mises back to Leipzig Airport). They have dug up the road near the car park and for bikes it will be a little tricky.
Rob NMTB Redditch, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 43,511 Sprint ST (05->) 22 Apr 2012 19:42
They couldn't beat us then, and they won't beat us now

Took a long time to tunnel out then?
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 23 Apr 2012 07:55
It may be tricky for sports bikes but mega trailies should be OK eh boys?
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 23 Apr 2012 09:20
I can confirm the 1200 does indeed go off road quite well.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 23 Apr 2012 09:53
Going over a kerb does not count
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 23 Apr 2012 13:38
It was a particularly high one.
Sir TT Church of 3 Saints, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 37,096 Enthusiast 23 Apr 2012 14:38

Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 23 Apr 2012 15:37
That would have been me I daresay as I was out that way. Possibly. White helmet, blue jacket.
Saxman Cowplain, United Kingdom Posts: 7,160 Tiger 800 23 Apr 2012 15:44
Yep, I was in a silver van going the other way.
Fretmeister Moaning about bikes, United Kingdom Premier Member Posts: 61,571 Daytona Super III 23 Apr 2012 16:01
