Postman knock up my mother-in-law next door this morning at 6.50 to take a parcel in for me. Went straight up the garage at 8.15 and fettled this to fit, had to ream out the top spacer and thin down the width to get it to fit. Gotta sort out the rocker linkage and dog bones later. Looks perdy.http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...
Got my R1 exhaust in the post today (cost me £30) and decided to de-core it. Drilled out the rivets slid off the carbon sleeve cut it down to 10 inches and then started to sort out the guts. These things are really well made. It was a real chore getting this thing apart. It wasn't just a case of drill out pull apart and put back together. It had to be cut up to access the innards. I still have to weld the mesh back on to the end cap and rebuild, then trim down the carbon sleeve and the sleeve packing then I can re-drill and rivet. Offered it up and I like it. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...
I made the mistake early on of sticking it in here and it was never meant to be a blog and that is clearly my fault.
I have asked (not demanded) would it be possible to get a projects page for ongoing projects and others have thought it may be a welcome addition to the site. I only ever initially wanted this thread moving to another subforum like the customisation area as there is less traffic and it just seems that some people want to go out of their way to be awkward. I thought as a member on here for a while that my input on here is welcomed at times and to be part of the "family" on here why not have an opinion. That is what a forum is supposed to be all about.

your mother in law did all this before breakfast?shes bloody helpful isnt she not your typical mother in law
ST, I really don't mind it being anywhere in the forum BUT when people start being sarcastic or purposely posting that it shouldn't be here then it winds me up. This thread doesn't harm anyone and some may actually learn from my mistakes or even decide to do something simliar themselves.
If Homer doesn't want to move it then simple, just say so, but even HERE Stu said he had meant to start a projects blog ages ago and Blizz as a mod (I think he's a mod?) thinks it should go in a customisation subforum.
It just rubs me up the wrong way sometimes. I apologise to everyone here for being "pissy" about it but sometimes sarcasm (remember this ST "I've marked this as a favourite "?) just isn't needed and I feel that sometimes is meant to put the cat amongst the pigeons so don't get arsey when it does just that. Now, rant over. I REALLY don't care where it goes. Do as you wish.
I suppose this is also a good way to bump the thread.
For my part I stickied it as it made sense to leave it here so folks could view it as they wanted.... in all honesty there have been loads of sticky's on non triumph stuff in the arms why should this one be any different....?
Hell this particular board is for pretty much whatever you want to talk about so why not......???? no-ones forcing folk to look at it are they...? over to you Homer...?

LOL - that was just posted as a sign-off to my suggestion about using Favourites (in the absence of a Blog-type facility), as you hadnt acknowledged it ... wasnt intended to be anti-your project thread.
