actually, there IS a free virtauliser for Mac to run Windows software natively, I just can't remember the name of it..
FWIW when I HAVE to I run Parallels......but dual booting an Intel Mac wouldn't be TOO much of a hardship.......well, apart from having to work with bloody Windows!!!!!
A ported/native Mac version, would be worth...........( to me)
lets see........at least
4 x 2lb boxes of hand made Xmas chocolates, shipped free..........
This does make temporarily using PCV to cut dyno time a tempting proposition.
But on the other hand PowerTripp's comments about how PCV percentages differ from the actual change they result at the injector seem to be against this: http://www.triumphtorque.com/messageboar...
I see the PCV import is just a simple 1:1 of the PCV values, and thereafter the missing columns are just interpolated from these.
Might sound thick but ,went to download page and not sure what i am supposed to be downloading from all the different things ,just after the basic tune ecu for my t595 ,any ideas

Tom - I have a 98 595 however the engine is out of a 00 S3 not sure VIN for engine since it was pulled from a splitter. I have the aftermarket triumph race can, what is the best suggested tune to install? I have tune ecu and cable already
I am not for certain that its an S3 but it was listed as such when purchased. And i never had any issues with it running. It ran like a raped ape really

Tom , I have recently used your excellent tuneECU to put the original Map back into my 09 Tbird it worked like a dream and I thank you.
I have however experienced the glitch that some others have complained about in that my fuel gauge has stopped working since the download. Others have suggested that i must be patient and eventually it may come back. I have extensively checked all the wiring, connectors, sender etc and it seems to be the ECU.
Have you any experience of this or a possible solution? Thanks.
X-Man: very different tunes for a 595 and a S3 engine....cam timing very different for a start.
If this is the case then it should have never even run little lone start? But it ran like a dream with the current tune! I suppose if it aint broke dont fix it philosiphy
I know this only from Sprint and the Rocket, but after a few kilometers, regulates the display again. In some cases, the tank had to driven once almost empty. Should be the display does not regulate again, then possibly, the programmer (Alain) can help you.
BR, Tom

Do you at least have an engine number? Factory should then be able to advise what the original VIN was.

I do have the engine number and will have to contact Triumph I guess, and I never thought about using a S3 tune I suppose it cant hurt. With that said it seems to run very well on the 595 high level tune I just dont rev the piss out of the engine
03.31.2012, new TuneLibrary.dll 2.2.0.3 Released now...download from HERE Note: * Update for the support of all new Triumph maps(except Tiger Explorer)
Sorry for the newbie question but ... I've downloaded the Triumph tunes which I assume are user modified ones, but how can I tell what model/configuration they are for? I'm looking for a map for an early '98 595 (old cam timing), low level SP Engineering exhaust (without baffle) and K&N filter. On stock map it's got a very flat 3500-4500 range. Any pointers appreciated .
go to te site and click on the link for toms site, this has a list of all the tunes/vin numbers etc. and what theb tune was developed on.
However the flat spot will be difficult to be rid of on your bike if it still has the early exhaust cam in it. It can be made better but never will be perfect.

Thanks, I'll try to find it. Yeah, am I right in thinking I can advance(?) the exhaust cam to mimic the later model's cam timing?

That's the one I've downloaded a tune from (not had a chance to ride it yet to test) but there's only stock, high and low level exhaust maps, nothing for the K&N as well. I'll give the low level one a ride later if I get the chance. Cheers.
Brilliant, just what I was looking for. I haven't done any tuning for this for a decade (on a car then) and can't remember if I actually need to download the checksum as well? I'm assuming (always a bad idea) that I just load the .hex file to the ecu and job done?
Load hex file to the ecu and then do a tps reset (30 second job on yours). Always do a tps after a tune upload.
Thanks for the info X-man, very much appreciated. Hopefully my last silly question.... I did the TPS reset, then out of curiosity went onto the diagnostics page. If I twist the throttle to the stop, the 'dashboard' is only showing 70%. I've just done a TB clean and am sure it was opening fully. Should the dashboard actually be showing 100% at WOT?
I rode the bike with the OE low level can map and it was much better than before, very acceptable actually but nowhere near as much grunt as my '99 Speed Triple. I'll try a couple of custom tunes.
