Hi folks, just begun my Triumph ownership. Got a 1982 Triumph Trident 750, which was a stolen and recovered, sold for the price of what he would have got from his insurance less the excess, that way he still has no claim on his insurance and I got a cheapie!
New lock set from ebay for £60 and she is coming together nicely. She sounds beautiful. Still got a little work to do but she should get through the MOT easily, that triple sounds superb through twin Motads. I was lucky really I never heard her run when we picked her up, but the missus did know the bloke selling it from work.
So new ignition and steering lock on and vroom, it starts beautifully, bit tricky on choke though, don't know if that is common. Anyways I am soon going to be up, about and sticking my 750cc in!

Thanks Earl, I could not resist having a Triumph, matches the leathers and boots I got at the BMF tail ender 3 years ago, decent set of Triumph leathers for £100 and boots were £20, genuine Triumph stuff from the Triumph tent too (the receipt was Triumph as well). The bike matches the value that they were...
By the way Earl one of me dogs comes from Wales, it is a Corgi from Tregaron! Great dog too....
Yep he came from Cilcert Uclid, the big beef farm at the top of the hill. Lovely dog too. Bif difficult to find, but well worth it. His first vet was the breeders brother in law!
That is what happens when you have a fairing like Earl, you get isolated from the speed you are really doing, thats why I like bikes without fairings, means I will keep my license, though I did have 115 mph out of an NTV 2up, the wife was not impressed with me...
Dont ride in winter? Good god it is the only time you get any damned space, you poor swines suffer the same plague as us, blasted tourists. Round here they go round at 5 mph counting the flowers on the verge, true story that.
My dad got past one crawling along the main A149 (doing 5mph), he got past got the tool box out, waved it over and found that the driver's wife was counting the flowers to see if there were more than last year. My father's reply was something along the line of you stupid fcuk ing c nut...
Winter, nice dry day, 6-8 degrees, no damned tourists, empty roads, police officer's nuts in car firmly on seat and not outside dangling under speed cameras, damned ideal!
I used to like taking my Xl through floods and laughing at all the floating cars but I'm a mummy now so been told I have to be more careful and Earl does live in wales cant imagine winters fun out there
It can be viscous in wales I must admit, Norfolk being so low tends to miss a lot of the bad stuff and seeing as he is in Dyfed which is about 3 miles higher in altitude than Norfolk I might be being a bit hasty. But even so there must be days even he is tempted to get the dust sheet off and give her a blast up the Horseshoe.
My great delight is burning round the A149 with little traffic, the twisty bit between Wells and Cromer is a scratchers dream....
North West, Lynn way, but the A149 is a peach, lots of corners, some mini hills, rewards good riding that road! A bit further round is the Bike Museum too!
I never knew there was a bike museum up there, whereabouts?
We often get up to sunny Hunny on a Sunday morning, normally go to Wells first, then into Hunny. As you say a nice road if there wasn't so much traffic on it...

satanskittens: Is it just me or is her nipples pointing in different directions?
....er SK, you may not have noticed, but women's breasts are never exactly the same! One either hangs lower, is sightly larger, maybe the nipple points slightly in a different direction!
