You didn't honestly expect to see another one did you!
Photos - if you haven't already uploaded them click on Upload File for each one at the top righthandside of this page which will load them into your album.
Once that's done click on the paper clip in the Post Reply box and once the photos are displayed choose the one you want, repeat if more than one.

Took apart suspension linkage and cleaned and regreased. Think I got to them just in time. The sleeve was just starting to pit. Needle bearings were all good after a good cleaning. Easy enough to do on a yearly basis if neccesary. Toughest part was loosening the bolts. Just threaded a bolt into the sleeve with a vicegrip on the end and drifted it out from the drive side with a long drift. Easy peasy.

Don't let Fret know you have a name for your bike! It's bad enough if you refer to it as him or her!
Yep, D3 is called Trevor, as indeed have all Triumphs, since D1000 of 93 (work it out, answers at bottom of page),D750, Trident 900 and now D900. The St1050 was not named unless you call that f****** b***** a name. Don't be shy, my bro had gsx1100 called Cedric (it had a 1400 big block, 40mm carbs and 160+ horses on pump petrol) So name and be proud!!! Can't take anyone seriously who's named after a little bit of metal on my guitar.
Thought of selling it, but missus would not let me. She said I would be sorry I sold it because when we get to Florida I would wish like hell I still had it. So it remains in the garage. Spared once again by the missus
As a newbie I kept finding references to The Lever Mod, took me a while to find it because of the number of threads it's mentioned on but it's here http://www.triumphtorque.com/messageboar... BTW make sure yo bleed the right nipples
Did some 70's bikes have an adjustment bolt/screw as standard or was that just a mod my mates n I did when we were mixing and matching?

My local friendly MOT chap may be a bit lax on exhausts (as long as he can't read"not for road use" he says he doesn't have a db meter) n other minor stuff BUT he'll never let anything slip if he thinks it involves safety. He commented on my lever coming all the way back to the bar. A "watch this" and a quick stoppie at the lights outside his shop convinced him to give a pass albeit with an advisory.
Last year's MOT was at a Triumph dealer, they passed it and it did the same then, known problem?
I never had any problems with the brakes on my T509, it always had loads of power with a nice firm lever feel and minimal lever travel. After about 8 years sat in the garage the lever still has the same firm two finger action.
