im between shaftesbury and blandford. i thought you might have been somewhere broadstone/waterloo/gravel hill sort of way as i saw a very nice shiney green speed triple parked outside a house when i was working that way last week.

I know think about all that CO2 and global warming
I think there were a few brown trouser moments for some riders trying to get out, luckily my old trail riding skills came into play and I managed feet up all the way onto the hardstanding. I felt quite smug passing a guy getting stuck on his Turno

Yep that sounds about right. I'd just got the bike out of hibernation - spent the winter pimping her up - lots of ally polishing plus caliper rebuilds/ rear master cyl mod / new brake lines etc etc. First outing was up to Thruxton for the BSB. Good day out but bloody cold!! You'll have to pop in for a cuppa next time you're passing!
Tater: Not sure FS? What would cause it to over pressurize???
head gasket leak, do you have emulsified oil or oily water/
Peppe:
fatsailor: yesterday pootled up to MK on errand for 'er indoors, funny how it always takes sooo long on the bike, called in to woburn triumph on way back for chat and drool! loverly speedy in red. anybody gotta spare 3 grand they don't want? the newer speed triple is soo light compared to mine . great ride out, just too short. me thinks more shopping calls.
I might be selling mine around June/July, would you be interested?
thanks peppe but no cash at the mo, can only dream. just got my mk1 and won;t sell to finance bigger toy. you shouldn't have any trouble selling tho.
No water in oil? And no oil in water I almost think its overfilled What I do know is that it doesnt begin to leak until it begins to warm up. Both rad caps were used so its possible I got a bad one
I know it's another expense but get yourself some Evans Waterless coolant as that stuff does not boil below 190 degrees so if you are loosing fluid due to it boiling up because of the cylinder pressure then it will still do this. If it is just burping due to levels or overtemp boiling then it will be ok. It can be reused if you have to pull the head to do a gasket. Cost you around $30-$40 though if prices are comparable to the UK.
At first I thought it was just still burping, but I keep topping it off and I see it run from the same location, right where the cap seals to the filler neck. I may have to look in to the Exup
Exuptoy: Exhaust now fitted but too long. Blueflame are going to shorten it for me so it looks like pic 2. Coolio. Media FileMedia File
ive got a battered old one of those blue flame cans(not carbon) i only really bought it for the link pipe,it sounds ok ,decent note and seems very quiet at high revs.so i was going to have a go at shortening it to i guess about the same length as your doing(losing the dents and missing the indicator) so be interested to hear how much louder it makes it
Captain StripleR: Measured the hole down the middle of my steering stem (13mm).
WHY?
No need to shout, lol. Two reasons. I need to get my spare headstaock paddock stand spigot machined down to fit, and wanted to see whether one of these I'd found will fit (it won't, wrong size):
Adjusted the position of my indicators to make way for my Blueflame when it arrives. Also made a small bracket to mount the can as the Blueflame mounting kit is s!$%.
Then removed my drop link and fitted new bearings and lip seals and repacked everything with grease. Don't need to worry about my drag link as Dex replaced it with turnbuckles when he owned the bike. That's that done for another year then.
No, but knowing how much work Dex did to the bike I think he may have.
I was quite pleased to find the bearings still wet with grease and the sleeves moving. Obviously the drop link one in the arm was a bit of a bugger to get out with the little corrosion in the middle, but it was obviously well maintained enough to make life easier for me at least 18 months later.
I like Rizoma stuff generally (apart from my faulty pair of bars I just sent back on Friday), but I think Stevie Wonder designed all their indicators, lol.
scrubbed the chain, washed and poilshed the bike on saturday took it rond some local roads yesterday and got it covered in flies so need to wash it again

Changed my rear tire for the Super Corsa pro I got off JJ (again!) Done it once already on the Tona and only used it for about 50 miles before swapping the wheels over. Best £45 I ever spent, it's lasted me over a year.
It's a 190/55 too and felt so good on the Tona due to the profile. Better feel than the 190/50 due to the shape and not so flat profile.
Red ones are for hairdressers and poseurs. who are not able to form their own thoughts or come up with anything original without someone showing them the way.
Back on subject, I fibreglassed wthe little damaged piece on the tail fairing. I'll paint over it later if my shed hasn't floated away...
