Sure it's not an air leak? My T509 used to pop and bang excessively on overun, even spitting out big flames, until I put silicon sealer on the link pipe joint.

Funnily enough Ade I looked at the joint between the headers and link pipe just now and thought that may be the cause

I'd spend a few mins sealing that first. Made a huge difference on mine. It still popped and banged nicely, but not excessively like before, didn't shoot flames out anymore, lol.

I'll add it to the "things to do" list whilst it's in pieces.

So far it's;
That
Repair nose fairing
Rub down all plastics
clean it (it's f!$%ing filthy under all the plastic)
Fit SS fuel connectors
Adjust the angle of the front brake lines to stop them rubbing the mudguard
Seriously consider fitting a 2002 on 955i engine, loom, ecu, injectors and airbox (If I can find the necessary £s)
Fit rad and oil cooler guards

Anything else I may come across in the next week or two!

Most faired bikes are. Makes me laugh when people decribe their bike as mint 'cos they've given the plastics a wash and polish, but when you look under the surface it's horrendous.

Uncovered it and put the Optimate on. Took just 30 mins for the battery to show full charge.

Hopefully take it for a run tomorrow. Took the Ducati out today and was actually too warm with too many layers.

Looked at it wistfully whilst wheeling out the Fireblade (they don't 'alf go) PS. Don't normally ride on a Sunday 'cos there's too many bimblers about, but in Jan, when there's a weather window, you just gotta do it!

Today at long last we finished the RAM air intake/nose cone/clock bracket assembly.
We think we are the first to RAM air into a Street Triple same as the Daytona.

Sigh...

Got to add more insulation to the loft and then board it out for storage.
Unfortunately in order to do that I need to store the insulation until I can do this.

Ergo, it's living with the bike in the shed
