Im still exhausted now. bruised knees and thank fully not a mark on my bike.
Nice save even if it knackered you.
Jeez you'd better not try a T309 like mine - you'd be crushed and never found again under my old bus!
I saved my old gs500 once, don't know why as it was a piece of rusty old s!$%e and it had crash bars on it, instinct I suppose. Anyway cost me a shoulder op and 3 months off work at the time
Gave it a good clean with some SDoc spray seems good stuff but should be for the price! Fitted a new hugger, hi level Triumph race can (mmm nice!). Was going to attempt to cut the undertray down and tidy the tail up but now its pouring down and I need to think about it a bit.
Offered up my new sexy and very expensive (even with my 20% discount) black Rizoma bars and bar ends and decided I don't like them and aren't going to put them on, so back to the dreawing board on that front...
Took some pix of it with some of the new stuff I received lately. Here's one, the rest are in the media vault...they'll be the ones without fine-looking young wimmens...sorry!
Discovered the battery is completely FUBAR. Despite leaving it on charge for 2 days with another charger and then 4 hours from the car charger. Glad I discovered it before next Saturday.
Alx, my bikes rarely get used now, so keeping it on a trickle charge as it is alarmed will probably significantly reduce the life of the battery. Also, I don't know the history of the previous 3 1/2 years before I bought it. We had a moment in Spa in May when the bike wouldn't start and had to resort to bumping it, so that seems the start of the decline.
'Twas good.....hit sonic speeds and popped the front wheel a few time......had a nice blah with a like mined 848........ saw a 'mega' stretched choppa....with a Virago engine

A smart trickle charger can be left on indefinitely, keeping a lead acid battery in an appropriate voltage range which will prevent sulfation issues and loss of fluid.
Batteries die from being left at too low a charge ("flat"), overheating, overcharged.
Battery life can be affected also by initial charging procedures from new.
Prep'ed the 1050 speed Triple and the wife's Street Triple for our ride to the French Med. coast on Friday.......So that's a wash, wax and check chain, oil, tyres and coolant then. Done
Tried out my new Black Widow sssa rear-wheel stand...works great, now I don't have to stand out on the street, waiting for some poor sod to come by and recruit 'em to either push the bike, or hold the chain lube can while I push....woohoooo!!
No pix, cuz the neighboring hot woman wouldn't pose for me...
Took it out of garage, checked pressures then put it away. Took it out again a few hours later to show me mate who hadn't yet seen it and started it up. Turned it off and put it away again.
