As I say Ratty, we'll have to get some better piccies now it's how I want it. I really need to get my polished rims on there now as well.
Aprilia spares.........A WEEK? I fear you may be waiting a little longer if past history is anything to go by. I do hope not but we'll see.
Just tried the washer trick. Nope, didn't work. I'll just put up with the spare seat at present as I really don't want to cut this cowl now I've bought it, even though I still have the original.
i ordered a clutch leaver...paid for it....shipped same day....will arrive on tue- or wed...what are you lot on about ? heard of ebay...? buy a NEW Aprilia part.....? are you daft?
p.s. bought the Daytona 1200 a new battery , charged it...today started right up.went for breakfest , started right up ....drove 12 miles to the airshow....stopped at a friends hanger....sat 5 min's had to move the bike....NO JOY!!!!!!
SO PISSED OFF , I DIDNT STAY AT THE AIR SHOW ...DROVE IT BACK 15 MILES HOME , PARKED IT...STARTED THE APRILIA AND WENT BACK TO THE AIRSHOW!!!!!!
Daytona MOT this coming Saturday, so took it out for a spin yesterday. Hadn't been out on it for a few weeks & have had two weekends away on the Tiger. Once I got my legs accustomed to being bent double, I had a whale of a time, the roads were quiet & was able to be a bit naughty. It reminded me why I like it so much.
After the 170 round trip to sropfest on the worst seat ever made I took it apart today and made up a gel seat. There's so little foam that I didn't bother cutting it up to fit the gel pad I just built it up faux sheepskin and put original cover back on, Mmmmm very nice Fitted Triumph rack I got of Ebay and yes I did dremel the cowl to get it to fit as I need it on to raise the panniers off the hi-level exhaust.
Yesterday I finally cut the Oxford bodywork blanket to shape that SWMBO bought me for Xmas, went to The Ostrich last night (cos I could!) and rode to work on it this morning...sod the forecast!
Just come back from updating the map on my m8's street triple. Removed both fuses (with light symbols). Uploaded old tune, saved file. Opened low boy tune then downloaded back to ecu. Reset adaption (TPS) then tried to start it and s!$% myself as it was just clicking. Put fuses back in then it allowed a restart. Phew, thought that was gonna cost me!
Report from owner, so much more responsive. Popping on a closed throttle now tho probably due to excess fueling on coming off throttle. Guy's happy tho.

Did you use tune 20591? That's what I put in mine, seems right. I found it quicker to disconnect the headlight bulbs than remove the fuse though.
Well, what I did with mine last night was finally ride it for the first time since taking it to bits and doing all the mods (and I'd only ridden it 3 times before that, lol). Looks f!$%ing gorgeous, sounds great, got loads of admiring attention and compliments at the bike friendly pub we went to, and a text this morning from an attractive 21 year old lady saying "Good morning Love your bike". Who's the daddy, lol...

Certainly did chap. They guy works at a garage so I had the tools to lift the tank to hand. He reckons it is so much more responsive and still pulls hard even on the motorway where the other tune was getting a bit breathless. He isn't happy that it pops real loud on coming off the throttle with the unburnt fuel in the exhaust tho so I rung a m8 who has a dyno and he reckons it could probably do with a full session now to get the map spot on, said something like the reason it is popping is because it is probably running at 12.5:1 where it should be 13.4:1 (or the other way around, don't quote me) and he could probably improve it with a quick fettle but a full session on the rollers would probably get him a further 5-7 bhp and it would ride much nicer. £150 a session tho but cheaper than buying a PC5.
May all be dyno talk tho, who knows, good for the bar room bulls!$% I suppose.

Had all the tools to hand in my cabinet, just found it quicker to whip the bulbs out than delve under the awkward tank. I'd not ridden mine with the Arrow on and standard tune, so can't compare that, but it feels fitter than with the standard gay cans on. Sounds great, pulls well ( I was shortshifting though - unfamiliar bike on brand new zero miles tyres). I didn't notice any excessive popping on the overun (certainly nothing like on my T509, and no more than my Bandit). I have a Pipercross in mine too, gonna get it on the dyno just to see what it's doing, but don't know of any dyno places who use Tune ECU/Tuneboy, so a custom map would mean buying a PCV too (which I can get trade, but still pricey), plus the dyno time.
As for needing help, that's an old pic. I'm muich worse now, lol.
i left mine in the shed this morning and brought my car to work. I haven't used the car much for a week or so as it needed a new lambda sensor and was running like a bag of poo... Fitted it yesterday and it's very nice to have it running nice, with no lack of power
Fitted my polished n painted alloy rims. Removed both front calipers to get the wheel off and stripped them down and cleaned all pistons and treated them to some red rubber grease to ensure free movement. Swapped over the discs after checking the condition of them and reapplying thread lock before torquing to specified 22nm. Fresh pads and a thorough clean then all reassembled with all bolts tightened to correct torque (40nm for calipers, 60nm for front axle, 146nm for rear wheel).
Looking better now. Swingarm and rear wheel bearings next I think in a month or so.
I need to sort out a long term fix for the rear of the seat plastics tho, I am fed up of the rear lamp fixing tabs snapping off after glueing them back on. This has been even worse since fitting the undertray. I have another set of plastics here, I may fit them next.
