left the Daytona in the shed and brought the other halfs bike to work as it's booked in for an MOT at 4pm. Fingers crossed it passes... Can't see it being a problem as it's only done about 1000 miles since the last one!

checked the battery....which was low...very low in all sections...so added distilled water , put it on the battery tender 2 days ago and after work today will see if it's a GO!!!
Fitted my new Galfer wave rear disc, stripped the rear calliper 'n' gave everything a jolly good clean.....Very pleased with the result Just need to fit the new pads a bit sharpish!! They should be in by the end of the weekMedia FileMedia File
Thanks to Nige and lcjohnny, I got some great/interesting info on tires & suspension work from those two. Did the step-by-step "Suspension Education Programme" and guess what?? After a couple hours of "putting on me lid and riding around a bit" and tweaking the damping (compression and rebound), the bike is much better-behaving on the road now. Even got some dirt-road work in, as my mate lives in a very rural area. Found out too, the S3 DOES NOT like 95 degree F weather at all. Didn't boil over, but it was a bit disconcerting to see the digital temp readout hovering around 220F+ degrees. Best to stay on the coast, I reckon.
i need to learn the SEP programme Lou.....hook me up , where do i fine the info.... (pssssssssssssssswere all nutters on here but the britt boys x 4) and welcome.

Rode it then got home and decided to re-install tuneecu on my netbook. Finally got that done and connected to the bike then noticed oil on the floor below the bike. Looks like the oil filter has gone porous and has rust bubbles under the paint in 9 months and 1000miles. f!$%ing s!$%. The bike doesn't see bad weather.
Mot and taxed it, got home fitted hi-level tor I got of fleabay it sounded crap so installed the 10072 tune what a difference seemed quieter and crisper with excellent throttle response. Managed to get the crappy mirror glasses to adjust. Fitted an accessories power socket and satnav mount. Worked out that if I leave the seat hump on the throw over panniers clear the hi-level exhaust. Just got work out how to strap a tent and other gubbins on (no rear foot pegs)Got a genuine Triumph rack with all fittings of fleabay coming but I doubt if that'll be here before the weekend.
Took the dust cover off the Tiger to use as a decorating sheet. Now back on the Tiger. Erm, took the seat off the Daytona to see if the alarm wiring was able to be photographed for an "alarm" thread. COuldn't see much.
Yuasa. Can't go wrong with them and they're mercun too. Or you could fit some unknown and untested branded item that seems to be very good for a 2 year old company from China.
Before work this morning: Fitted a flyscreen that had just arrived. Home this afternoon: Fitted some black drag bars that had arrived while I was out. Then took off the flyscreen that I fitted this morning because the levers now hit it.
Knackers. (Getting my mate to knock me up some riser spacers in ally tomorrow).
checked the bike over, ready for our weekend away. Good job i did too as my rear wheel nut was only finger tight I have to find somewhere with a 46mm socket in the morning now!
new batery.... bought the cheapest i could find in town...$56 with tax...6mo coverage.. on the charger now....hope it starts in the A.M...crossed fingers smiley.
Went and got breakfast for my wife at 530AM. Laughed at all the people waiting in a mile long line of stopped traffic trying to get to work as I went around them all bringing breakfast home :P
Decided to fit the grabrail while the seat were off from the other day whilst playing with TuneEcu. Also fitted the seat so my lad can go for a run with me.
Can the single seat pod be fitted with the grabrail or does it need removing everytime I change it over or can I mod the hump so it can stay?
As she looks today. I need to use a lot of pressure to close the seat latch tho. Don't seem right, although the rubber buffer is also fitted between the seat and the plastics. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ex...
yeah, i'll get one from Ebay, but i was in a rush to get it sorted today as we've not long since arrived in Taddington for a weekend away on the bikes. Got it sorted at a place i use for servicing, tyres, etc
Tried the seat hump on the seat with the luggage fitted. It didn't fit on and needs modifying for certain. I may not do it as it's a sin to cut the hump.
Ta Tim/Fret. I can fit the seat without the rubber no probs, but really gotta force the seat on with it. I already have a 2mm washer under each side of the catch so may need another pair then.
